How Hotspot VPN Works
What is Hotspot VPN?
Hotspot VPN is a mobile app that adds security and privacy to your WiFi Hotspots and private internet network, to protect your data and hide your identity from hackers. Hotspot VPN also provides freedom of access to websites that are not available in your area.
How to use Hotspot VPN?
All you need to do to ensure privacy and access, is to turn Hotspot VPN ON, then you can select the virtual location you wish to view content from, open your browser or apps and use them freely.
The virtual location you choose will make it appear as if you are located in that country.
Can I choose an IP address?
Hotspot VPN is configured to automatically assign IP addresses based on the geographical location you chose. We currently do not offer the option to choose specific IP addresses.
Hotspot VPN IP address
Hotspot VPN offers Dynamic IP addresses that constantly change to provide better protection to your device during each session. It makes it harder for snoopers and hackers to identify you or access your information by adding an additional layer of protection to your data.
Hotspot VPN Elite
Our Elite subscription adds more features to your Hotspot VPN account such as:
-
Ad-free browsing
-
Unlimited data bandwidth for streaming
-
Access to content from all virtual locations
-
Ability to use the same subscription on up to 5 devices
Hotspot VPN Free
Hotspot VPN's Free Edition provides US IP addresses which allow users to access blocked content in the US only. The content that's accessible with free version is limited. Hotspot VPN's Free edition is also supported by ads, If you want to have full access to US sites you will need to upgrade to Elite.
Stream content with Hotpot VPN
Make sure Hotspot VPN is connected and that the VPN icon appears on the top of your device’s screen. Once you are connected, you can simply open the app you’d like to stream content on or watch content from your browser. Hotspot VPN will automatically allow the app or browser to display the content from the virtual location you chose without any restrictions.
Hotspot VPN doesn’t keep logs
We do not collect any personally identifiable information on Hotspot VPN. We do not collect, store, or share any permanent identifiers of users, including IP addresses. We do not keep any kind of activity logs for any of our users, whether they are free or Elite. Please note that Hotspot VPN only enables privacy and encrypts user Internet sessions when it is turned ON.
Hotspot VPN is not anti-virus
Hotspot VPN helps secure your Internet session, not your computer. Hotspot VPN doesn't protect your computer from viruses or malware. We recommend getting anti-virus/anti-malware solutions from one of our reputable partners in order to also help secure your computer.
